Role Overview

As the Head of Commercial for our luxury brands portfolio, you will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies to drive revenue growth, enhance brand visibility, and ensure market competitiveness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Fashion and Merchandising, Digital, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance, to achieve business objectives and strengthen our position in the luxury market.

Key Responsibilities

    • Revenue and Sales strategy

    • Develop and manage the merchandising budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize profitability.

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive merchandising and fashion strategy aligned with the AC Platform overall objectives.

    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape.

    • Make sure we build the best in class team behind each brand and on the AC platform.

    • Collaborate with designers to curate cohesive and compelling collections that reflect the brand's identity and resonate with the target audience.

    • Ensure a balanced product assortment, considering factors such as price points, seasonal relevance, and market demands.

    • Oversee the planning, allocation, and replenishment of inventory to optimise stock levels and meet sales targets.

    • Product performance: Sellthrough / inventory turnover / replenishment decisions

    • Implement effective inventory control measures to minimise overstock and stockouts.

    • Oversee all sales channels strategy to control balanced and profitable brands growth.

    • Wholesale distribution

    • Smart Retail expansion

    • Expansion to new markets (including local JVs)

    • Work closely with marketing teams to ensure that merchandising strategies align with brand positioning and marketing campaigns.

    • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the curve and maintain the brands' competitive edge.

    • Brand Collaborations and strategic partnerships.

    • Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to track commercial performance and profitability.

    • Monitor key financial indicators, including sales revenue, margins, and operating expenses, to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, retail, and sales, to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to product development and distribution.

    • Provide guidance and leadership to the merchandising team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in commercial roles within the luxury goods industry.

  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, building brand equity, and managing profitable businesses.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

  • Exceptional leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in team management and talent development.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Deep understanding of luxury consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape.
